Endpoint Configuration Manager 2103 Cloud Management Gateway (CMG) Error — Check Configuration Settings of the CMG Service is up to date.

Long Story short, there was an expired cert. The Supplied PFX cert was expired at time of initial CMG deployment. Always check your logs! Here are your key logs when working with the Cloud Management Gateway. The interesting part is the CMG seemed healthy as deployed. However, we were handed a cert that was expired. Trust but verify!
The log shows the management cert is expired. This was a CMG deployment with a wildcard cert.
Also, if you check certificates under the Cloud Service in Azure, it shows the cert as expired.
CMG service was then redeployed with the proper cert and everything was then ok.
